[ It seems incredibly unlikely that Poe would be free last minute on Valentine's Day, considering his other entanglements. But she finds herself admittedly hoping he is. So much for not being a complication... ]

[ Most of the time it all works out well enough, Poe's schedule is purposely flexible, especially given that the people he cares about are infinitely more important than any work he could be doing. But there are times when he feels torn, and unreasonably guilty for not being able to give her more.

He'll just have to make it up to her. ]

[ Though she suspected he'd be busy, the confirmation still stings, despite her best efforts to not let it. But one of the best things about a text conversation? It's incredibly easy to hide kneejerk reactions. ]
